2010 Finalist in the European Business Awards for the Environment, EU
Ecover was selected for the European Business Awards for the Environment in the Process Award category for its production process of Eco-Surfactants. The prizes, which are awarded every two years by the European Commission, recognize European companies which have made an outstanding contribution to sustainable growth. Ecover , as a runner-up to the main prize, is justifiably proud of reaching the finals in this prestigious award event.

2010 Product of the Year, BE
Ecover was selected in Belgium for “Product of the Year” in the maintenance products category. The complete range of new cleaning products may carry the well-known red logo during the period of a entire year based on the success of our Eco-Surfactants.

2009 Natexpo Award, FR
The new Ecover Power Cleaner earned a Natexpo Trophy 2009 in the daily well-being category. The prizes are awarded annually at Natexpo for the best ecological innovations. Natexpo is a prominent health trade fair in Paris.

2009 Belgian Business Awards for the Environment, 2nd Place and Nominee, BE
For the first time Business & Society, with the support of the VBO [Federation of Enterprises in Belgium], organized the Belgian Business Awards for the Environment (formerly, the Environmental Prize). These awards recognize Belgian companies that are successful in combining innovation, economic success and environmental protection. Ecover participated with its production process of Eco-Surfactants as theme for the Process Award. Ecover eventually earned a respectable second place and in doing so secured a place in the European competition.

2008 TIME honors Ecover as Hero of the Environment, USA
Once a year, the U.S. weekly TIME magazine honors a number of striking world improvers. Under the heading of “Heroes of the Environment” the magazine selected 30 eco-pioneers fighting for a greener future. Mick Bremans, CEO of Ecover, was one of them.

2008 Finalist in the Export Lion Award, BE
This prestigious prize is awarded annually by Flanders Investment & Trade (F.I.T.) to a Flemish company that achieves outstanding results in the area of export. Ecover reached the finals and defended its case in front of a Flemish jury.

2008 Product of the Year, BE
For the past three years Product of the Year® in the Benelux has organized the largest consumer behavior study in Belgium. ECOVER, a market leader in ecological washing and cleaning agents, was declared as Product of the Year 2008 by the Belgian consumer. The ECOVER toilet cleaner won the prize in the ecological household products category.

2007 Prix'd Action Citoyenne, FR
The Prix d’Action Citoyenne was awarded by Alliances, an organisation that was founded fourteen years ago with the goal of motivating companies in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region to improve social, ecological and economical interests in the region. In May 2007, Ecover opened its second ecological factory near Boulogne-sur-Mer and is proud to carry this award as part of its achievements.

2007 Sustainability Award, Flanders, BE
Leading up to the events surrounding Open Factory Day, this prize recognizes a company for its social and environmental accomplishments. The award was handed out by Mr Henry De Baets, Administrator General of the Public Waste Agency of Flanders (OVAM) and Mr. Yves Lejaeghere, Founder of Open Factory Day.

2006 PETA Best Cruelty-Free Household Cleaning Product Company Proggy Award, UK
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has awarded Ecover with the Proggy Award for the Best Cruelty Free Household Cleaning Product Company. The Proggy's are awarded every year for exceptional, animal friendly achievement in 21st century culture and commerce. Ingrid Newkirk, Managing Director of PETA Europe states that Ecover's "innovative and progressive contribution sets the gold standard for others to emulate" and commends Ecover for our foresight, initiative, creativity and kindness.

2005 Golden Archer Award, BE
Ecover’s Ecological Limescale Remover has been named the 2005 winner in the ‘ecological products’ segment by the Royal Belgian Committee for Distribution. The Golden Archer prizes are awarded annually by the Royal Belgian Committee for Distribution and its periodical Distributie Vandaag. The prizes are awarded in recognition of new food and non-food products that are not only the most innovative and provide the best performance, but also provide customer satisfaction by responding to customer expectations with regard to innovation and quality.

2004 Best Eco Cleaning Product Health Food Business, UK

2002 Golden Bridge Award, UK
The Golden Bridge Award from the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in the UK was won by Ecover for its achievements in exporting to the UK.

2001 Best Vegetarian Non-Food Product, UK
The UK based Vegan Society has granted Ecover's washing powder best vegan non-food product.

2000 ISO 14001 Certified, BE
Ecover's environmental policy has been controlled and approved by KPMG resulting in the ISO 14001 certification.

1999 Gold Environment Medal, BE
The Research and Information Centre of the Consumer Organisation (OIVO) was asked by the national consumer organization to test the impact of our washing powder on the environment. Ecover scored highest and was awarded with the Gold medal.

1999 Corporate Conscience Award, USA
The American based Council of Economic Priorities promotes socially responsible entrepreneurship. Ecover received the Award for Environmental Stewardship for the way we take care of the environment.

1998 Varena Prize, NL
Varena is a yearly tradeshow for the health food sector in Holland. Ecover's Heavy Duty Hand Cleaner was awarded Best New Non-Food Product.

1994 Honourable Mention VBO, BE
For Ecover's Multi-Surface Cleaner.

1994 Vida Sana, SP
Vida Sana is the most important consumer organisation in Spain. They have rewarded Ecover on our efforts to protect the environment.

1993 Global 500 Roll of Honour, UN

Ecover has been elected to the Global 500 Roll of Honour of the United Nations Environment Programme in recognition of outstanding practical achievements in the protections and improvement of the environment.

1992 Prize for the most Innovative Product, UK
Awarded by the National Association of Health Food Shops in the UK (NAHS). The product was developed specifically for removing oil from birds during the Shetland oil disaster.

1990 Export Oscar, BE
Prize granted by the Belgian Service for Foreign Trade for the successful export of Ecover products.

1989 Product Prize, FR
The French Ministry for Environmental Issues awarded this prize to Ecover for our ecological washing-up liquid.
