Ecover’s Dishwashing Tablets Receive an “A” in Best Performing Ecological Products Review [ 14-07-2010 ]

We’re striving to conserve and protect our planet, and it’s no surprise that a part of that mission is finding the most effective green products for our home. In theory, we know that we need to say goodbye to those containing toxic chemicals. But, in practice, some still worry that many green cleaning agents aren’t as effective.
Yet others are simply creatures of habit, remaining loyal to a specific brand. At Ecover, the news is wonderfully encouraging though, as more and more households are replacing their old cleaning agents with Ecover’s suite of ecological products. And we’re thrilled with the response:

“Like “greenroom”, I agree that the best eco-friendly dishwasher detergent= Ecover dish tablets.
I tried all the others, and this one works great every time. No phosphates!
This detergent also comes in a powder form, but I like the convenience of the tablets.”

In a recent Consumer Report on “Best Performing Green Products,” Ecover’s dishwashing tablets were rated “Excellent” for both food removal and grease cutting. Additionally, the tablets’ performance-to cost ratio placed Ecover ahead of the class with a cost of only 6.2 cents per tablespoon.
The Consumer Report summary also noted that consumers should be aware that products claiming to be “green” should state on their packaging that they are “certified biodegradable.” (Meaning that the product has been independently verified as such.)
